Hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) is an excellent ceramic material composed of Boron and Nitride elements, with a theoretical density of 2.27g/cm3. The hexagonal boron nitride crystal has a layered structure similar to graphite. In a powder state, it is loose, lubricated, hygroscopic, and lightweight, and its appearance is pure white, so it is called "white graphite".
Due to its unique crystal structure, hexagonal boron nitride ceramics possess a series of special properties, such as high temperature resistance, thermal shock resistance, corrosion resistance, lubricity, and electrical insulation. It has a wide range of applications in metallurgy, chemical industry, electronics, and new energy fields, such as high-temperature refractory materials, thermal management materials, high-temperature lubricants, release agents, composite ceramic products, and atomic reactor structural materials.
